December Daily 2013 coming soon

So, I'm pretty much in denial that today is December third.

If I'm being completely honest, I'm kinda still wondering where October went :/

But I am definitely doing DD again this year and am really excited about the simplified approach I'm taking! Last year I committed not to buy any outside supplies, this year I am buying a few things (less than $20 worth). Would you believe that I've never used Washi tape? That's one thing that I ordered from eBay but it may not get here until a few weeks from now, so I may do a re-cap video of all the finished pages later on.

I'm not usually a "trendy" type crafter/scrapbooker but I'm incorporating two things in my DD this year that are super popular right now - chevron prints and chalkboard. I love the look of both and I actually printed my own chevron print pages this year which I'll have available for free download in the next few days.

This year my theme is clear-ish (for lack of a better term). Meaning all my pages are either regular old clear, non-printed transparencies or are sized-down and hole punched divided page protectors. So you can see through most of the pages to the next day. Which I think is kind of fun :) But that also means that you can see the backs of photos/pages so I'm backing everything with chevron or striped print paper. And I'm also not using adhesive to secure things to the transparencies (I don't like that you can see the adhesive spots on the other side) so I'll be using my Tiny Attacher or flat stapler for that job.

I'm also using my Martha Stewart snowflake punches and my Silhouette Cameo to cut out elements for my pages. Then (usually) I use the negative image on the actual pages, but I'm sure that I'll be using some cut-out parts as well later on.

So stay tuned! I'm hoping to have videos or photos up tomorrow so you get a better idea of the direction I'm going this year. I am so excited to do this. Also please feel free to post links to your own blog so I can take a look at your album too. Share the love!

Love and Craziness,
